Starting in 2011 we announced the start of the discontinuation program for our grey ÄKTA™ systems: ÄKTA™ explorer, ÄKTA™ purifier / purifier UPC, ÄKTA™ xpress, ÄKTA™ basic / basic UPC, ÄKTA™ FPLC and ÄKTA™ micro.

On October 1^st, 2021, we further announced that we have stopped all sales of 12 month service agreements for these discontinued systems. After July 2022, we expect we will not be able to service grey ÄKTA™ chromatography systems due to the diminished availability to source spare parts.
