About Cytiva Molecular Diagnostics Challenge
We welcome innovative solutions with the potential to support disease identification and development of targeted therapies for precision health or improvements in sample preparation workflows.
This challenge is an open call for projects from universities and companies (academic, start-ups, larger companies, and institutes) within EMEA and Asia Pacific regions. Applicants must agree to provide Cytiva with the permission to publish research findings from the submitted proposal and have the ability to accept the products from genomics portfolio and interest to connect with a Cytiva Dx team member virtually on optimizing their workflow.
Have questions? Please contact us before applying.
Fill in your details in the registration form on this page.
- The project must be innovative, developing a kit, assay or workflow which is not currently commercially available.
- The project must not have been submitted or shared with Cytiva before or via other previous Cytiva challenges.
- You must be willing to compare the performance of our Sera-Mag™ beads or Sera-Xtracta™ kits against your current solution and build into your submitted proposal.
- Products used in the submitted research must be purchased from Cytiva or our approved distributors. Our Cytiva representatives will also reach out to you to support and ensure that you have the right materials for your research after registration.
Molecular Diagnostics Challenge Guidelines
Share these details about your idea or project:
- What is the target molecule(s) to be extracted? What is your previous experience with this/these specific target molecule(s)?
- Tell us about the sample type being analyzed.
- What is the current method to extract the molecule and how does it compare with your new approach? (RNA, Plasmid DNA, etc.).
- Why is it important to improve your approach?
- How has the use of Sera-Mag™ beads or Sera-Xtracta™ kits helped to improve the overall workflow in terms of performance (binding capacity, speed, coverage, efficiency, etc.)?
- What are your ideas for commercialization of the workflow / assay / kit: potential market size, end-users?
- What steps were undertaken to reach your final conclusions?

There are many variations of passages of Lorem Ipsum available, but the majority have suffered alteration in some form, by injected humour, or randomised words which don't look even slightly believable. If you are going to use a passage of Lorem Ipsum, you need to be sure there isn't anything embarrassing hidden in the middle of text.
All the Lorem Ipsum generators on the Internet tend to repeat predefined chunks as necessary, making this the first true generator on the Internet. It uses a dictionary of over 200 Latin words, combined with a handful of model sentence structures, to generate Lorem Ipsum which looks reasonable. The generated Lorem Ipsum is therefore always free from repetition, injected humour, or non-characteristic words etc.
